Real Food

In some ways it’s easier to say what Real Food is not.  Real Food is not:

  • processed
  • synthetic (high-fructose corn syrup comes to mind)
  • de-natured
  • genetically modified
  • called “food stuff”
  • containing ingredients you can’t pronounce

When you get rid of all the “is not’s,” you’ll discover that Real Food is wholesome, healthy and largely left untouched (read – “unprocessed”).  Here are a few more:

  • local – whenever possible
  • organic – not completely necessary, but with all of the herbicides and pesticides used in large scale farming, you can be pretty sure of getting a dose of something “extra” that you don’t want
  • grown/raised in a humane way
  • prepared with love

I like to call it “True Blue Food” because it is the real deal and when you eat it, it loyally and steadfastly supports your health!

The recipes found on this site are my favorites and you can’t go wrong if you want food that is easy to prepare, inexpensive (the healthiest food is often the least expensive despite rumors to the contrary) and awesomely delicious!
